Going to Battle for Our Queen

Hello men! I couldn't miss an opportunity to send out a warrior brief on this great day where we celebrate Our Lady and her Immaculate Conception. She is such a gift to us as warriors because she is a mother, she is a queen that we want to fight for, to battle for, someone we would go to war for.

The woman in 2 Maccabees is a "type" of Mary - a type being a biblical foreshadowing meant to help us unlock the mysteries therein - because the woman in 2 Maccabees encouraged her son in his time of distress to die for the truth. And that's what Our Lady does for us. She is a queen that encourages us to live our lives for Jesus the King and to be like Him. To go to the cross like Him and to lay down our lives as St. Paul says in Ephesians, to lay down our lives like Christ did for the Church.

So, we look to Our Lady and we celebrate her. Then we prepare for battle because she is a queen that will never leave us and she is a queen that inspires us to live and to die for the truth.

May the Holy Spirit always give us the fortitude to do it.
